I think the last time I was at any kind of Zoo was when I was about 12-13 years old. It was fascinating watching and listening to the animals. I highly recommend the Racine Zoo for a quiet and simple experience.

In this recording, I was outside the Tiger area. The water noise is a waterfall, and you will hear first the female who is inside, and then the male, who is outside. These are Amur Tigers, or Siberian Tigers. The estimated population for these left in the world is 431-529 individuals. Click here for more information on the Amur Tiger.

Click on the map for a larger image.

Racine, WI along the lakefront, N/E of the Zoo

October 2nd, 2007
1:00 P.M.

It was a very foggy day.
